Top Gun fans have been waiting with bated breath for the release of the cult classic sequel Top Gun: Maverick since early last year. While the movie release had to be delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there’s other exciting news for fans. Luxury aviation decor brand WoodFeather has announced an exclusive global partnership with Paramount Pictures’ Top Gun franchise to launch a special edition line of Top Gun Propellers.
Own a piece of Top Gun memorabilia
Akshay Sharma, founder of WoodFeather said, “What we’re making is something that’s never been done before. An iconic film deserves iconic memorabilia and our Top Gun propellers are nothing short of it. We’ve captured the essence of the theme in each of the 4 iconic designs and being a die-hard Top Gun fan myself, I can promise that this is something every fan is going to want to own.” The brand’s pieces are carved from vintage wood and handcrafted by artisans. Their collections are popular not just among pilots, but also celebrities and industrialists who use their pieces as art to embellish their homes.
Aptly named Maverick, Wingman, F/A-18 and P/51-D, the four exclusive propeller designs are inspired by the movie’s characters and airplanes. It’s not just the names though. The colours, decals, finishing and details on the propellers draw from the most iconic symbols of the movie, like the red and blue Top Gun logo and imagery from badges the characters wore. Each of the pieces is handcrafted from solid Burma teakwood and is priced between USD1095 to USD1195 (Rs80,069-Rs87,381). Aviation enthusiasts take note though- every piece takes several weeks to make, so there are limited stocks on offer. So, if you’re feeling the need for speed, the time to get your hands on it is now.
The collection is available for worldwide sale exclusively on https://woodfeather.com/
