Roger Dubuis Launches $56K Timepiece Inspired By The Lamborghini Huracan STO

Hot on the heels of the unveiling of the track-focused Lamborghini Huracan STO, the carmaker has teamed up with Swiss watchmaker Roger Dubuis to launch a limited-edition timepiece inspired by the hardcore supercar.

Dubbed the Excalibur Spider Huracan STO, the timepiece has been displayed with the same Blue Laufey and California Orange color combination as the Huracan STO show car.

The Excalibur Spider Huracan STO features a 45 mm skeletonized carbon case with rubber inlays topped with a titanium bezel and metallicized sapphire crystal, while the strap has perforated calfskin leather and a rubber interior liner.

The Excalibur is powered by an automatic RD630 caliber that provides a power reserve of up to 60 hours. The movement combines a 12-degree angled balance wheel with a 360-degre oscillating weight inspired by the wheels of the Huracan STO.

Interestingly, whereas Lamborghini hasn’t committed to capping production of the Huracan STO, Roger Dubuis has confirmed that just 88 examples of the Excalibur Spider Huracan STO will be produced, with a retail price $56,500. That’s an eye-watering figure, especially when you consider the car itself starts from $327,838 in the United States – but then again, Roger Dubuis’ watches have always been luxury items and priced accordingly.

As for the supercar that inspired the timepiece, the STO is the most hardcore variant of the Huracan and is powered by a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 churning out 631 hp and 417 lb-ft (565 Nm) of torque. Unlike most other variants, the STO is rear-wheel drive and is 43 kg (95 lbs) lighter than the Performante.
