This festival that began in the US is now celebrated all across the world, and has made its way to India as well in the form of bountiful feasts. On the menu is roast turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans casserole, yams, an assortment of gravies and cranberry sauce as well as pecan and pumpkin pies for dessert. It’s advisable to wear pants with drawstrings or stretchy elastic for this festive occasion. Slink & Bardot, Worli

Put together by chef Vidit Aren, Slink’s menu features a traditional American butterball roast turkey with gravy with celery, onions, carrots and thyme stuffing, green beans decked with shrivelled almonds, button mushrooms with garlic butter, caramelised brussel sprouts, baby carrots in Canadian maple syrup, ancient grain and feta salad, and of course, mashed potatoes. Phew!  End this lavish meal with a generous helping of pumpkin pie or a milk chocolate tart.

Clear your schedule on 27 November and book yourself in for an elaborate traditional festive feast at Bastian. The menu will feature a traditional turkey roast with vegetarian and non-vegetarian stuffing options with charred corn, smoked ribs, kale salad, mac & cheese with wild mushrooms, teriyaki broccoli and apple and pumpkin pies as well as Bastian’s giant ice cream sundaes to finish with.

Devour a lovely turkey feast at Seven Kitchens, featuring turkey nigiris, turkey kebabs, lemon chili turkeys with sweet pepper tacos, mini turkey burgers as well as tandoori turkey prepared in the butter chicken style.  If you’re not too keen on dining in, you can order their  traditional feast ‘At Tryst with Turkey’ which will include everything from cranberry sauce and Gilbert gravy with mashed potatoes to Christmas pudding.

Kickstart your dinner with savoury scones, bourbon onion confiture, duck jaffle and small plates featuring yellowfin tuna crudo, shaved fennel and grapefruit and crispy black rice. Leave a lot of room for the turkey porchetta with stuffing, fermented cranberry and winter vegetables and slip into your food coma with brown butter pecan pie, salted caramel ice cream and the pumpkin pie crème brûlée with pumpkin seed brittle. If you’re sure you won’t be able to move, you can order the meal home and then safely doze off.
