Why Karen Huger Couldn’t Pick A Side In Monique/Candiace Fight

Fans of The Real Housewives of Potomac are wondering why Karen Huger just couldn’t pick a side in the Monique Samuels/Candiace Dillard Basset fight.

Why Karen Huger from The Real Housewives of Potomac couldn’t make up her mind and just pick a side in the Monique/Candiace fight.

Since the long-awaited season started fans were waiting to see the fight between Candiace Dillard Bassett and Monique Samuels play out. The two women have been going at it since their falling out last season. Instead of leaving each other alone both decided to nitpick one another to the point of no return. Most of the housewives were appalled with how Monique physically went after the beauty queen. But Karen and Ashley Darby did side with Monique and felt the quarrel could be turned into a learning experience and a teachable moment.

Fans are well aware that The Grande Dame will not turn her back on Monique after the horrific altercation at the barn. But Candiace can’t seem to wrap her head around the idea of not having all the ladies on her side. Many Bravo viewers feel the argument was not all the Not For Lazy Mom’s Podcast host’s fault. For years Candiace had been saying whatever she wanted without repercussions and many feel the fight was half her fault as well.

In a recent episode, Karen pulled the 33-year-old aside to let her know she was not pleased with her constant voicing of choosing sides saying, “I’m a little upset that you continuously say I should be against Monique.” But the newlywed wasted no time in telling her mentor “I need to hear from you that you understand what Monique did was wrong.” Karen was not about to back down since she pointed out she stood by Candiace during last season knife wheeling incident. Karen makes it clear to the ladies that she will not choose between the two “You want me to choose a side and to totally abandon Monique, and I’m not going to do that for you.”

Fans of the Potomac will recall that Karen actually gave advice to both of the women including telling Candiace that she should press charges. Viewers believe that Karen is doing her best to stay neutral and support both her friends, which to most is the right thing to do. Only time will tell if she will end up regretting that decision but for the most part, it feels that Monique needs a bit more support since she is not receiving any from the rest of the cast.
