90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’s Paul Staehle and Karine Martins may have been fired from the show due to abuse allegations. What will happen next?
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’s Paul Staehle and Karine Martins may have been fired from the show due to abuse allegations. The network and Paul seem to be on two different pages, with low odds of meeting in the middle.
Recently, Paul revealed that he and his family were stuck in Brazil as Karine’s Green Card was stolen. Since she hated Kentucky so much, some TLC fans wonder if she conveniently lost her Green Card so she would not have to return to the United States. Paul has yet to learn his lesson about social media, as he still provides periodic updates on his situation to 90 Day Fiancé fans.

In a long-winded Paul Staehle Instagram post, the father of two revealed to fans that he and his family would be staying in Karine’s Brazilian hometown. Karine inherited the family farm and they were looking forward to growing crops. Paul dropped a bombshell on fans as he wrote about an allegedly grave situation: “Because of the overwhelming negative impact of fans taking it upon themselves to pick Karine up and then make very serious false allegations in her name acting as her translator and keeping her in their home until another Brazillian she knew from a church group rescued her and got her to our house.” Fans noted that Paul was trying to deflect the blame onto the Internet trolls, but many think Paul’s outburst did not help him. In his post, he wrote, “Update. The false allegations against we were withdrawn. We are currently in Brazil. Karine’s green card was stolen and the embassy is closed because of Covid19 so we will be here indefinitely until we can get her a boarding foil hopefully before her green card expires.” The statement led many fans to believe that the couple was not being welcomed back to the show. TLC is known to be strict when it comes to its cast members breaking their contracts. See a screenshot of one of Paul’s posts below:
The couple had filed restraining orders against each and some fans were worried about Karine’s safety since she was exhibiting signs of postpartum depression. TLC viewers had been gunning for Paul’s removal from the show. They may have gotten their wish as Paul ended his post with, “We will probably no longer be filming.”
TLC has yet to comment. However, after Paul posted the first note, he posted a clarification, saying the 90 Day Fiancé family has not been fired and that they were just taking time to see what was best for their lives. The controversial reality star then revealed that he and his wife were hoping to return to the show in the future. Fans will just have to wait and see what the truth actually is.
